Now that 2016 has ended, I was curious to see what posts made the list of my top posts of 2016. I wasn’t originally going to write a post like this since this blog is still less than six months old. But my curiosity won and I looked. I decided to share the results. Below are the top five posts of 2016, starting with number five and working up to number one.
This is a post about flowers, waterfalls, and beautiful scenery everywhere. The Chicago Botanic Garden has quickly moved to the top of my list of favorite places in Chicago. We have gone back several times since that first trip during early fall. I highly recommend checking it out if you’re in Chicago when the weather is nice.
In this post I talk about our experience with the Christkindlmarket at the Daley Plaza in Chicago. Although it didn’t live up to all of my expectations, experiencing a taste of the European Christmas markets so close to home was definitely worth it.
My mom took over the blog while we were getting ready for our trip to Ohio in October. She shared about one of her favorite places and suggested fun activities for the whole family to enjoy at Alki Point in West Seattle.
Lincoln Park Zoo has been one of my favorite places in Chicago since our first few days as Chicago residents- living in a tiny apartment within walking distance. Although we live farther away and can’t go as often, we still make it a tradition to visit the zoo at least once a year.
The top post of the year is a post where I share some travel memories and preferences with a fun survey in ABC form.
And just for fun, I’m including my top three Instagram photos for the year.
Museum Campus display at the Wonderland Express. This magical exhibit at the #chicagobotanicgarden is fun for the whole family. Definitely worth a visit for anyone visiting Chicago during the Christmas season. #chicago #littletravelers #travelblogger #femaletravelbloggers #familytravel #chicagoland #christmas #holidayseason #lights #wonderlandexpress #trains #explorer #wanderer #wanderlust #dametraveler
Christmas may be a few days away still but I'm already thinking about New Years. I've never been one to set resolutions but this year, I'm setting one. Check out my *NEW* post on #ontheblog to find out what it is. (Hint: it's #travel related.) Link in profile. What is your New Year resolution? #travelblogger
NEW post: The highlights of our trip to Cuyahoga Valley National Park is #ontheblog.
