A large perk of traveling is discovering new places to eat. Of course there is always the option to eat at fast food restaurants, but why eat somewhere you can just as easily get at home? Why not explore the local food scene while on the road? We had the opportunity of trying out a few restaurants while on our trip to Ohio. Here are a few that we enjoyed.
Charm Thai is our favorite of all the restaurants we went to. The service was excellent and the food was the best that we’ve had outside of Thailand or made by D’s Thai step-mom.
Among the dishes we ordered was my favorite Thai dish, massaman curry. It was excellent and I highly recommend it. My other favorite Thai dish, mango and sticky rice, wasn’t available for dessert so we settled for a fried ice cream. It did not disappoint. I recommend Charm Thai to anyone traveling in the Cleveland area.

First Watch has multiple locations throughout the United States. This trendy breakfast/brunch place serves excellent pancakes and hot chocolate. I can highly recommend the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes.

There is nothing I want more after a day of driving than to eat some good food and then crash in a comfortable bed and sleep all night. (Although as a mom of two, I haven’t slept all night for three years, but that’s irrelevant.) When we arrived at our hotel in Macedonia, I was thrilled when our room key had an advertisement for Romeo’s Pizza. We’re always up for trying a new pizza place and the great thing is, they delivered right to our room. The pizza wasn’t the best I’ve had in my life but it was good and definitely needed after a full day on the road.

At first glance, Burger Fresh didn’t seem like much. The service leaves much to be desired. While ordering, I’ll admit, I didn’t expect the food to be very appetizing. I was pleasantly surprised to find that my California Burger was, in fact, quite good. I loved the different options of burgers than just the regular beef patty. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy a good burger but sometimes, I’m just in the mood for something more unique.
What made our experience at Burger Fresh the most memorable was when the owner came out and started cleaning the tables around ours. We chatted for a few minutes and he told us how much he and his wife appreciated our business. I’ll tell you, whenever the owner takes the time to clean tables and chat with customers I feel good about giving him my business.

Overall, our dining experience while in Ohio was a success. I recommend all of these restaurants to anyone who is looking for places to eat on their trip to Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
Have you been to Cuyahoga Valley National Park? At what restaurants to you like to eat?
Pin for later.
